Orb Weaver Spider

Description:

This gorgeous girl has a green and black abdomen. She sits in the middle of her web every night in a doorway. When I talk to her, she runs up into a little silk house she has at the top of the door and waits for me to go away (4th picture). She's about 8 mm in body length. The pictures of her feeding on a Flatid Homopteran were taken on 26 Sep 2018.

Habitat:

Semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico 2,200 meters.
