Pandanus

Description:

Pandanus is a genus of monocots with about 600 known species.[1] They are numerous palmlike dioecious trees and shrubs native of the Old World tropics and subtropics. the female plant has the fruit and the male plant the flower. The trunks are quite soft.

Notes:

I thought these were called Pandanus Palms but after looking it up for project noah I now know that they are NOT closely related to palm trees.
