Green Heron

Butorides virescens

Habitat:

Wetlands.

Notes:

This guy was a great subject to photograph giving me many different angles and poses. So many I couldn't figure which I liked best. I do want to mention that I put the third photo up so you can see the little FroHawk he has displayed. He didn't like when I got too close with my kayak. It's a warning sign as is the display of elongating his neck to make himself look bigger.
