Eastern Yellow Robin

Eopsaltria australis

Description:

Medium-sized robin (15 cm) with grey head and back. Prominent yellow breast and underparts with off-white throat.

Habitat:

Wide range of locations from gardens and woodlands through to rainforests preferring darker, shady locations. Mostly found in coastal parts of Eastern Australia but can be found some way inland.

Notes:

Often seen perched on the tree trunks, Eastern Yellow Robins are inquisitive and will tolerate the presence of humans.
