Jamie, I'm not sure this is a darner; the abdomen looks more like a skimmer. In fact, it looks a lot like a dragonfly we have here in Minnesota called an eastern pondhawk as an immature, although I don't think this is a eastern but some other species. Take a look at these pages starting at http://bugguide.net/node/view/404/bgimag... and see what you think. Look for the immature yellowish-green adults with those distinctive black chevrons on the abdomen. Let me know what you think. Dragonflies can be really tough to ID, often requiring them to be in hand and examined with a handlens.
