calochilus paludosus
A slender plant about 24 cms tall with about three bracts. The flowers were green with purplish red filamentous beard-like growth. The two petals (lateral) had distinct red stripes. The outer surface of the sepals were the same deep red colour. Leaves were single folded, erect with a slight red base (pic 5)
Spotted in a mixed wet and dry sclerophyll forest dominated by silver stringy bark. An Australian and New Zealand native.
These orchids are protected.

Thanks to you Vinny. You know where we spotted this one and others - B-W Reserve. I am embarrassed to say that we've lived so close to this reserve for years and didn't know about it. Thanks again.
