Beautiful blue-green lichen growing on a pine tree in a coniferous forest. It looks like the tree may have a fungal infection because it had some red, discoloration to the bark, which you can see in the picture.

Wonderful find Christine! Love the contrasting colors. I'm not a 100 % on this ID. The Rough Speckled Shield lichen doesn't grow here in the NW, but some of the descriptions I've read on different sites seams to match with your lichen.
