Description:

Família Megalopygidae Podalia sp (Taturana-gatinho ou Taturana-cachorinho) Nos Megalopigídios, a base da cerda apresenta uma única glândula inserida no tegumento da lagarta. Quando pressionada por ocasião do contato, a glândula libera o veneno que percorre um canal, sendo injetado na pele humana. A principal característica dos Megalopigídeos é a presença de longas cerdas, frágeis, sedosas e inofensivas, semelhantes a “pêlos” que camuflam os verdadeiros “espinhos” venenosos. Tamanho aproximado 8cm. Instituto Butantan, SP

I've changed my ID suggestion to the general family as I am not sure if the puss moth's range extends to Brazil.
