delicate white mushroom

Marasmiellus candidus

Description:

A small delicate white mushroom with a translucent cap about 15mm wide. Gills were wide apart almost like veins. The stipe looked sturdier with a darker colour towards the base.

Habitat:

damp eucalyptus forest

Notes:

This beautiful mushroom was on its own, rising out of a decaying twig. http://mushroomhobby.com/Gallery/Marasmi...

thanks Atul ! - it's a pity I can't find much information on this mushroom. It's mushroom season here and I am hoping I'd be able to identify at least some of them..
