Skittering Frog

Euphlyctis cyanophlyctis

Description:

Greenish yellow frog with leopard-like patches on its skin.

Habitat:

Lily pool in the Dambulla cave complex, Sri Lanka. It tried to get up on the lily leaf but failed. I was hoping this one would climb up on the leaf so that I could get a proper shot of the body. But after a few failed attempts it gave up and swam away. There was another similar looking frog but it did not give me the chance to take a photo.

Notes:

The common name of the family is fork-tongued frogs!
