Katydid

Description:

Huge. At least 2 inches and more. Body resembles a dry leaf. Looks like a locust in body shape.

Habitat:

On a pillar inside the office of the Engineer at Havelock Island dock.

Notes:

It reamined immobile for at least a couple of hours....we were waiting for a boat to come and take us back to Port Blair after being stuck on Havelock Island for two days. It was awfully crowded; hundreds of people milling around. But NO ONE else noticed it...isn't it sad?
