Spotting

Description:

Barkfly of about 4mm body length. Overall cryptic colouration, with the head being yellow and the abdomen striped in yellow and black; wings are translucent with little venation and dark patches; narrow 'neck' that leads to a humped thorax. The wings are help tent-like over the body.

Habitat:

Found in 'El Cimatario', a national park in semi-arid area just outside the city. The rainy season is now in full swing and many animals are venturing out.
