This medium sized raptor is easy to identify because of its coloring. It has a distinctive white head and chest and a beautiful auburn back. They are quite common in India and are primarily fish eaters

Habitat:

Found throughout the Indian subcontinent they are primarily seen near wetlands and coastlines. This was seen near a river outside of Mysore
