This is a Seven-spotted Lady Beetle. They have been introduced to North America from Europe and are now established. Both this species and the Multicolored Asian Lady Beetles are "genuine" species of Lady Beetle (also called Ladybugs by many), just not native to North America. Both species have been introduced purposely for control of aphids, though the Asian Lady Beetle has become quite invasive and is thought to spread disease to and out compete our native species.
