Brown Anole

Anolis sagrei

Description:

At 10:30 a.m. in the morning, I looked out of the left front window, and I spotted one reptile, that was very close to the left front window panes. I got my camera, and I was able to take some photos of this reptile. The color of this reptile, was different shades of brown. This reptile, had a light brown line, running down its back, and down the length of its tail. This reptile, had some dark triangular shapes, running down the sides of its back, and down the length of its tail. The brown anole, is a small, semi-arboreal ( "trunk-ground") lizard, with relatively long toes, reduced toe pad surfaces, well suited for running and jumping.

Habitat:

The brown anole, has been described as a habitat generalist, that generally prefers open vegetation within disturbed sites, and urbanized areas. It spends most of its time, on the ground or on trees at trunk level, up to several feet off the ground.

Notes:

I spotted this reptile, near the left front window, at around 10:30 a.m. in the morning.
