Rough green snake

Opheodrys aestivus

Description:

Not going to share exact locality info on this guy - they're aren't particularly rare but there can be dozens covering the patch of road where this individual was found and I dont want to be responsible for someone getting lots of green on their car tyres.

Habitat:

Prairie, sawgrass, palmetto.

I'm pretty green with envy (pardon the forced and strained intentionally-unintended pun). I love rough greens, but haven't seen one in years! Waiting for the moment to arrive...!!! This shot is what I aspire to with a snake like this. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic composition!!!
