Unknown spotting

Description:

Very large tadpoles, I'm guessing for a bullfrog, but amphibians aren't my specialty-so suggestions welcome. From tip to tail, the sized ranged from 3"-6".

Habitat:

Pond, shallow water

Notes:

The pond we saw these tadpoles at was teeming with tadpoles!

I think you're right. As I understand it, the North American bullfrog tadpoles are quite large *and* usually have those black spots. Lithobates catesbeiana -- the North American bullfrog FTW! http://www.californiaherps.com/frogs/pag...
