Anolis carolinensis
lizard, can be a vibrant green or a sandy brown, body (without tail) is palm-sized, tail can become detached if necessary, can puff up neck flap to make a small red "balloon", three toes on back feet---one toe is long and the others are short
Can be found throughout Houston, Texas, and the surrounding suburbs; likes to hang out on trees, fences, houses, and pretty much anything it can get a grip on
I know it's a lizard, I just don't know what it's official name is.
