Papelionid sp.
An abandoned butterfly pupa belonging to a swallowtail butterfly.
Seen on an orange plant in my mothers garden.
Clicked, using macro mode on my Samsung Omnia-W.
Thanks Yogesh. You are the plant expert :)
If the plant is miniature orange plant then that is "Calamondin Orange"sci. name :Citrofortunella microcarpa
Even I doubt it to be Swallowtail pupa.
May be Swallowtail type butterfly's pupa.
Check.. if find similar..http://blog.growingwithscience.com/2010/...
Thanks Ashish. It was a bonsai orange plant. Maybe Citris Mitis Calamondin, not sure.
Nice Pupa..Do you know Binomial ID of plant..?
