Hello, sorry for the delayed reply. Katydids do indeed hop but the mission is focusing on the Auchenorrhyncha suborder which consists of Froghoppers/Spittle Bugs, Leafhoppers, Sharpshooters, Planthoppers, Lanternflies, Peanut-head flies, Treehoppers, Piglet Bugs and Cicadas.
