Boa constrictor is a nonvenomous snake and has the largest distribution of all neotropical Boa. They are predators on birds and small mammals, including bats. They are important predators of rodents and opossums, especially, which can become pests in some areas and carry human diseases.
The local zoo call me when they perform biometry processes with animals, so they can also see their progress through photographs. (they could do that, but they know I enjoy doing this :) )
