Chrysanthemum morifolium

Description:

A long blooming time and staying power as cut flowers make these a perfect addition to late season gardens, largest in the Mum family. Flowers grow 6-8 in. across, while plants reach 18-36 in. tall. Blooms late summer to late fall in full sun to partial shade. Potted. Zones 4-10. This plant attracts butterflies.

Garden

Notes:

Football mums have been a long time tradition in Texas and are growing in popularity across the south and abroad. Football mums also called Homecoming Mums, Spirit Mums or just simply "Mums" began years ago as a corsage with a live ball mum or chrysanthemum and was given by a boy to his date for the homecoming dance in high school.

The white flower and yellow flower are from the exact plant, it bloomed twice in the same year and produced 2 different colored flowers.
