Yellow jacket wasp and treehoppers

Family Vespidae (wasp) and Membracidae (treehoppers)

Description:

Its a fully known fact that ants and treehoppers have a very complex relationship, where ants protect and take care of the hoppers in exchange for their sweet excreta. What most people don't know (and I discovered only today) is that some wasps also like that nice liquid, and take it whenever they can. At first I thought that the wasps were preying on the hoppers, but as long as I stood there, none hopper was attacked.
