A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
It was in a small creek just south of and exit ramp off of I-94 in Highland, Indiana. The creek flows into a larger retention pond. There were many, many frogs hopping into the brush as I walked closer to take the pix.
Mark, thank you. With my limited knowledge of fungi, but with a little research, I think you're correct. Can I assume these are edible?

This might help you find the species id, http://bugguide.net/node/view/1954/bgpag.... I think it's a nursery spider, but I'm not sure.
