One good thing about taking pictures of birds comes when going through all the images and you find something that you've left unnoticed, the tuck. Going out later, I've watched how birds launch from branches and the ground, how they soar and dive, and their extraordinary ability between branches and leaves are easier to follow. Digital cameras are cool, but flight it even cooler.
I was thrown off by the petals being in the state of dying back.
Can you estimate its size? Wingspan and length.
