Picture 2 shows the habitat of the turtles. The turtles gather on the stone structure in the foreground This spotting adds to wildlife in urban/suburban areas.
Thanks, Mandy. It was very interesting to read about this unusual slug.
Lucky you to live so close to Huntley Meadows! I just read about Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve. http://www.nps.gov/gwmp/dyke-marsh.htm
The section about invasive species caught my attention as AmeriCorps has been teaching our students about their work removing invasive species and took the students out to remove some in the area. I'll have to check out the preserve one of these weekends. Thanks!
Is Huntley Meadows your favorite place in the area to view wildlife? Do you have any other suggestions of good places to visit?
Our second grade students went on a field trip to Huntley Meadows on Friday. That place is amazing!! Nice photo you took of "Jabba the Frog"
Thanks for the suggestion and advice. I'll update the next time I'm on my desktop computer
