Thanks Alice and Matthew,
I noticed this Hoverfly in the garden moving around in a 6ft wide area at about shoulder height. I kept tracking and snapping, with fixed focus until I had some reasonable shots, which this was one of. Oddly enough "he" was very aware of me pointing the camera at him! Every time I did he moved on, and it seemed more regular than coincidence.
I'm a little baffled as to how I caught his wings at the end of each stroke, as he only has one pair, it looks like he has two. I'm presuming that it's because the wings are "stationary" for a tiny period of time at the end of each stroke.
Though I'm open to any ideas on this.
:)
Thanks Korina.
Thanks Gina!
I'm glad it did ceherzog :)
