i don't really know how to identify caterpillars. but i'm open to suggestions. could you give a link that could help me id it as a red birdwing? :)
hi Agnes! added to the Butterflies in the Philippines mission already :)
added to the Butterflies in the Philippines mission! :)
@KarenPuracan, yep i think it's a tree frog. my first guess was Polypedates, but the patterns are different. then one of my friends guessed that it could be a Hylarana. but we're not sure :))
@KarenPuracan, i don't know how it is called in Tagalog. i just know it's scientific name :)) i'll ask my dad. we used mist nets to catch birds. we're conducting a survey on the place where we caught it.
@PaoloCo, i think it was 2-3 inches
@Ashish Nimkar, hmm, more of CREEPY antennae i guess. haha. i'm scared of it :|
thanks. i think it's the same species. i will edit this spotting! :)
@ dandoucette, nice to be back. haven't gone to the wild for quite some time. i'll be uploading urban spottings for the mean time :)
@ AndrésHernández thank you! :D
thank you Harsha Singh. but i still can't figure out what species (or at least genus) it is...
