I've never seen a black squirrel in person. I think it would be awesome to see one! I love the white squirrels. There are several in this area. We have a lot of the traditional grey squirrels as well.
I don't think this one is a true albino, as it has dark eyes.......not red eyes. Also, there are other baby squirrels running around the same tree and living in the same den as the white one and they are grey.

This is a rescue bird. It had been shot in the shoulder, and the rangers had to put a pin in it. After some more recuperating time, it will be released back into the wild.
