Cool spotting, Louis. What's the story of how you saw it? The scientific name for freshies is Crocodylus johnstoni (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freshwater_...).

Great shot. I agree with bayucca's ID... check out the second last shot on the reference he's posted. There doesn't seem to be anything else out there like it.

Not sure, Argy. They seemed to be mostly hanging about in the grass and around the lilly-pillies. There was an epic explosion of them inside the house at one point (hundreds, probably thousands of them) but I think most of those ones would have died off due to lack of suitable food in the house!
