Hello Ben,
There are many places in Portugal were you can find many species of wild orchids. In the center of the country (near Leiria-Fátima, 450Km noth from Algarve) there's a Natural Park called Parque Natural das Serras d Áire e Candeeiros with many orchids. In Algarve you can find also a few hotspots. I recommend a bookpublished in UK in 2009 "Wild Orchids in Algarve".
