Dear nature lovers and hobby-scientists,

my name is Tobi and right now I am doing my Bachelor Thesis for an university in Germany. I started to inform my self about 'biodiversity apps' and want to reestablish the joy for nature in citizens that lost track. So I want to write and inform people about the new explosion in citizen-science using smartphones and tablet computer with their enormous potential for modern research projects.

The idea is to create my own project, make it public and gather information about animals that live in Germany, so that scientists could use the data YOU provide, to create statistics and get an insight of the biodiversity for different areas. The more people participate, the more results will appear and prove what dedicated nature lovers can achieve.
