Birds of Coastal Georgia

When you spot a bird take a picture. Before posting the picture document what you observed and identify where you spotted it. Take your time to help document as much information possible to help correctly identify each spotting. Have fun!

Coastal Georgia is home of many resident birds and visited by migrating birds. Its diverse habitats attract birds on its coastal waters, hardwood forest, and residential areas. See which birds stay year-round, pass through while migrating, or stay through the summer. Start to make observations about birds and document the size, shape, and habits. While observing birds, be sure to listen for the bird’s call (song) to better identify them.
