All too often wildlife is affected by our waste - plastic bags, discarded or lost fishing line, nets, etc. By taking photos and sharing them - sending them to politicians, news organizations - we can bring attention to the problem and give a "face" to it. Hopefully, people will think more before discarding these items and instead recycle or politicians will enact legislation banning use of plastic bags, styrofoam, etc.
