Nature has many examples of organisms that use, or convert, energy in unique and efficient ways. Fireflies produce light with little heat. Bumblebees fly when perhaps they shouldn't. Fleas leap high. Sting rays wave their "wing" tips in sinusoidal motion to move forward, just as light waves move through space. Platypus sense tiny magnetic fields from muscle movement of their prey. Venus fly traps slam shut. Please select plants and animals that show unique or talented development, use, or transfer of energy.
