This project was inspired by an environmental studies course with Dr. Reynaldo Ramirez that was offered with the TRC program at UT Brownsville. It provide opportunities for teachers to explore the idea of having students work "In, with, and for" the environment. It is important to give students a chance to use science skills like asking questions, doing research, making observations, collecting data, and drawing conclusions in our ever changing natural environment. By providing them with projects that promote working in and with the environment, we will help them to intuitively work for the benefit of the environment.
