Florida has a great variety of carnivorous plants. Carnivorous plants attract, capture, and digest prey as well as absorb nutrients from their prey. Some other plants are considered protocarnivorous, meaning they have some, but not all, characteristics of carnivorous plants. Some carnivorous plants found in Florida include pitcher plants, sundews, butterworts, and bladderworts.
