School Garden Habitats!
Begin documenting the habitats which exist in your school garden! Share photos of plants, invertebrates and mammals with other classrooms across the country to begin creating a larger picture of how habitat is created when we begin to green our school grounds! From wiggly worms to fuzzy bees, school gardens can show us just how much life can be found in one small space!

On-site school gardens provide students with a living laboratory to discover natural sciences right outside of their classroom windows. This mission aims provide STEM opportunities for teachers. By utilizing technology and modern research methods, students will begin to create a map of how School Gardens can begin to build vital habitats within an urban setting. Students can document the crops they are growing during different seasons, plant life stages, and the invertebrates, birds and mammals which begin to flourish when green space is added around the school.
This mission is aimed towards use by educators for the purpose of teaching about habitats, plant parts and lifecycle as well as invertebrates including decomposers and pollinators.
