The Natural World in Our Urban Environment
The naturalists of 1-206 will explore the wonder of nature in New York City by capturing and sharing pictures whenever we spot signs of nature such as plants, trees, and animals. We will focus on nature in our surrounding neighborhood as well as our incubation and embryology study, hatching chick eggs in 1-206!

Observing and Connecting with the Natural World in Our Urban Environment: Learning to Identify the Flora and Fauna of NYC
Our environmental inquiry, our Nature Study, will nurture children’s innate curiosity about the natural world, foster their understanding of the interconnectedness of all living and non-living things, and instill in them an abiding sense of care and responsibility for the well-being of their communities and planet Earth.
Please join on this important mission by following us on Project Noah and Twitter, posting comments and asking questions as we learn to become engaged and critical thinkers who use their knowledge to take on social action issues and stewardship of our planet. Acts of stewardship grow from a deep respect for, and desire to protect, the balance of nature within
the Earth’s biosphere.
