Palawan Endemic Species

Palawan Endemic Species

The planned book on endemic species shall cover large animals that lie close or at the upper level of the food chain. Hence, the collection shall focus on animals categorized as mammals, reptiles, birds, and amphibians. It shall not cover arthropods or insects and fish as these are too many. Linked stories about the animal will be highly appreciated to enhance people's awareness, build compassion, and get a glimpse of its current status. All contributions will be duly acknowledged. The endemic species of Palawan Island, the Philippines' Last Frontier is not well documented. I have previously written a book on Palawan Wildlife but this is not comprehensive. I would like to come up with another book focusing on the endemic animal species of Palawan to help instill appreciation and conservation of these animals which are increasingly under pressure due to migration, urban development, mining, tourism, agriculture, habitat transformation, among others.
