Biota of S. Frazier's Yard at Sentani, Papua, Indonesia
This mission is for my PRIVATE use only. (Feel free of course to view the incredible biodiversity observed on this little patch of mother earth over just 6.5 years). Only spottings from my yard, gardens, buildings, and periphery of the compound have been included. [The minimum 16 km radius exceeds the boundary of this mission and therefore does not apply].

This is a personal (private) mission to catalog the extraordinary level of biodiversity found in my yard, where I've lived since 2008 (but where I've only recorded species regularly since 2010). It can be described as either semi-urban or semi-natural (in part). I am including planted crop and ornamental plants because they are an integral part of the tropical micro-ecosystem here and form the habitats of other wild organisms. This yard is adjacent to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest. This means only a few large trees remain and the land is mostly populated with planted species (e.g. Cocos nucifera and Areca catechu) and smaller perhaps "natural" species. Fruit bats routinely drop fruit seeds there and in my yard proper. Fairly often people, dogs and cats walk through this patch. The only spottings from this adjacent area that might be included in this dataset are those on the very near border. For all practical purposes the spottings are all mine. However in the unlikely event that someone else has made spottings at this location, I may accept them for inclusion. :-)
