Chihuahuan Desert Plant Survey
Project Noah is the most complete model and source of public field survey data available on the Internet that I know of (aside from Project BudBurst). The fields for data and observation input are almost complete.
I would add to this database an important field for collecting specific observations and data of the surrounding environment and climate and/or weather in which each spotting is situated. This is important information related to how climate change may be affecting growth and movements of plants in the Chihuahuan Desert. In lieu of a specific data field for this information, these observations can be added to the 'Habitat' or 'Notes' field.

As a biologist and naturalist, I am concerned about how climate change is affecting ecological systems and biodiversity. Little attention is directed to the desert regions of our planet, and the Chihuahuan Desert is of special interest to me and others that live in that region.
Small surveys and inventories exist for sub-regions of the Chihuahuan Desert, although most focus on specific genera than a complete database. How existing surveys can be consolidated into a baseline database for native and exotic plants in the Chihuahuan desert would require significant time and research and is beyond my means. My attempts to add to any such database is more a Citizen Science contribution aided by my training and experience as a scientist.
At the least, I hope this meager collection might serve readers to help identify plants they find. I invite others to join me in this endeavor.
