Description:

flowers are a pretty red with long, thin petals; leaves are long and narrow; it's a bush or a tree that can grow to be taller than a grown man

Habitat:

People like to plant them in their yards. This one was on my neighborhood's trails.

Notes:

Hummingbirds like the flowers. I need help in deciding exactly which species of bottlebrush this is.
