This beetle was similar to this one

. However, the ivory patches at the elytral base were bigger and continuous with the patches on the outer elytral margins.

Habitat:

Spotted on broom tea-tree in a national park.

Notes:

This one was about to take-off. ID taken from MartinL's spotting
