Virginia Bluebell

Mertensia virginica

Description:

Clusters of blue/purple flowers, fairly narrow bloom time.

Notes:

I have often seen these growing in large groupings (this was found singly in a neighbor's yard) with countless bees and other pollinators buzzing around in a frenzy. Some appeared so weighted down with pollen, it's surprising they were able to fly!

Very nice picture ! Seems delicate and soft colors. Ideal for a romantic greeting card :D
