Hypselodoris whitei

Description:

This nudibranch has a pale yellow body with purple longitudinal lines, and a purple bordered mantle. The gills and rhinophores are bright orange, tipped with white. (Without the white tips, the species is referred to as H. maridadilus.) This species can reach a total length of at least 4cm and feeds on sponges.

Habitat:

Found in the tropical Western Pacific.

Notes:

Spotted this at a depth of 12m, black-sand area. It measured about 2cm.
