Beautiful iridescent beetle. Found laying on the ground just outside of Fantasy of Flight attraction.
This beetle was found in an urban area. However there was an airfield nearby. Most likely the beetle lived in the field or perhaps in the nearby gardens.
This beetle preys upon caterpillars.
