Bar tailed lark

Ammomanes cinctura

Description:

It's one of the smallest larks on the island, it's easy to mistake it with the female of the crowned lark, but the pointy beak helps with the i.d. I've rarely seen it fly, while it prefers to run around the rocky plateaux.

Habitat:

rocky desert
