the largest katydid I've ever seen, over 5" long!

I spotted this huge katydid on a banana plant leaf in the morning. I had seen some large grasshoppers before but this was biggest katydid I had ever seen. I put it on my hand for a scale photo and it bite me! It didn't break the skin but it pinched a little. I put it back down after that.
Thanks! @Dixie, I know what you mean, its kind of hard to tell the scale until you see my hand. It's a giant!

Is he/she a juvenile? usually they are sensitive at mature. You're so lucky Dan! Fantastic!
