Louisiana Iris

Description:

This iris was rescued with several others from the garden of Marie Caillet of Little Elm, Texas. It is in a bed designed to give them the best chance of survival.

Habitat:

Louisiana iris thrives in slightly acid, sour, moist ground. The opposite conditions of Bearded iris. Plenty of organic material,such as animal manures, compost, or green legumes. Water is essential in early spring, like the rainy season in Louisiana.
